What is ChangeTrace?
ChangeTrace watches your WordPress store for changes and for shifts in sales, then tells you which change most likely explains the shift.
Something changes on your store — a plugin updates, a theme swaps, someone edits a setting. Two days later sales are down and nobody can say why. By then the change is buried under a dozen others, and you are guessing.
ChangeTrace closes that gap. It records every change on your site, watches your revenue and orders, and when the numbers move it shows you what changed first.

How it works

The three things it does
Detect. The WordPress plugin records plugin updates, theme switches, core updates and PHP errors, and sends your WooCommerce or Easy Digital Downloads orders as they happen. Separately, ChangeTrace loads your site from the outside every five minutes to check it is actually up.
Correlate. When revenue or orders fall away from their normal pattern, ChangeTrace opens an incident and looks back through everything that changed in the 24 hours before it — ranking each change by how well the timing and surrounding errors fit.
Explain. The incident page lays out the ranked causes, the evidence behind each one, and, if you ask it to, a written explanation you can hand to a developer.
What it is not
Being straight about this saves you time later.
Correlation, not proof
ChangeTrace tells you what changed right before your numbers moved. That is a strong lead, not a verdict. A plugin update at the top of the list is the thing to check first — it is not a confession. The product says "correlation, not proof" on every panel that ranks a cause, and it means it.
It is also not a security scanner, not a backup tool, not an uptime monitor you configure (monitoring is simply on), and not something that changes anything on your site. The plugin only reads and reports.
